West End
This is the row of cottages that line the northern side of the road into Craster as it approaches the harbour. Originally fishermen's cottages, most are now self-catering lets. Evidence suggests that the pair of cottages nearest the harbour are the oldest.
The foreground shows the centre of Craster devoted to the village's fishing boats. To the left of the picture is the square base of a bark pot, with the pot and stirrer on the ground. The bark pots were used to soak fishing nets and line in a water proofing solution made using the bark of a tree.
